Trying so hard to blog! I'll sit down and just...not want to anymore. =( But...for my sake I think I'll do it.
Life has been dandy. I can't say enough how much I LOVE the city. My room-mates have become my best friends fast - Shoshanna (actually spelt Susanna) is a ray of sunshine and Ilona is like, the downest ass chick I have ever met. We all keep coming up with things to do! Every Tuesday night is a Nation2Nation club party - yeah seriously, we go clubbing mid-week and sometimes..again the next night. And of course, Friday and Saturday if not traveling. Usually a country will do a cool little powerpoint reppin' their homeland and we all cheer and shit. Lots of going out - lots of the city to see - and still lots of people to meet.
This morning I had an incredible breakfast. It was fried bacon embedded in 2 sunny-side-up eggs with toast. I also had a croissant and amazing hot strawberry cream tea. It just...totally hit the spot for me - a breakfast that brought me home. It's a gorgeous patisserie also and I intend on visiting each month until I go. It's quite pricey for Czech standards...but typical for US. Eh! Also been shopping...trying really hard not to but..I can't talk about it.
School! I'm taking just under 10 real class-time hours that somehow translates into 14 at UT. Each class typically requires a seminar paper + presentation (which is pretty easy as often as I've been doing it at UT), plus one final test (and it's either a regular test or an oral test). The load should be easy but...geez, finding the effort is tough! Luckily, I am free on Wednesdays and Fridays - and Tuesday/Thursday are really light class days. Shouldn't let myself procrastinate so pathetically...I have 4 90-minute seminars on Monday though..rough day, but it's all with my new friend Tommy - who is SUCH a sweet Norwegian. The best dancer I've ever seen.
What else...Travel? I went to Oktoberfest in Munich, and now I have Dresden, Berlin, Vienna/Budapest/Krakow, and Copenhagen/Aarhus lined up until the start of December. If I ain't no broke-ass nigga by then, might add a few days in Amsterdam. That would be the best bonus to my trip. During the weekdays we have a LOT planned to do in Prague...Opera this Friday! Black light theatre, the ballet <3, the zoo!, hiking in the woods, Prague castle at night, Charles' Bridge at dawn...
Still figuring out how I'm going to dance here...
And! Hopefully I'll be hittin' a bar in the city centre that'll have a live viewing of the OU game this weekend. Holy cow I am excited. There's an Irish bar called Dubliner (which already has so many memories...) that shows college football. Will try to find it again.
Less than three months left!
