So. My flight out of Houston (IAH) was at 3:40 (9/7), and we actually did not take off until about 4:50 which was lame. This made me late for my connection from Amsterdam (AMS) to Prague (PRG), so Continental rebooked me for the next flight to PRG, which was 6 hours away! I guess I could've gone into the city, but I was so stressed out and didn't know what I was doing and how I was going to get back...so I stayed in the huge-ass airport and chilled. Took little naps. Dangerous? I would think so, but I parked myself next to security aaahha.
Anyway...finally arrived in Prague at about...6:30 pm local (9/8), my buddy Monika was there, who is just really great. She got me back to my dorm and I unpacked and met two of three room-mates, Shoshanna and Ilona who are also very cool girls. I actually did not meet my last room-mate (Yoon-ae from Korea) until the week after. Both Shoshanna and Ilona are Finnish, but Ilona was doing her master's in Denmark. I'll be going back there with her in November to see Denmark (particularly Aarhus, but might try to spend a day in Copenhagen).
It's been so great. Been in Prague for about a week now - partied my second, third, and fourth night here (Th, Fr, Sat) and then again last night. There is another party tonight as well. But aside from the good, cheap beer and great exchange students - the city is just gorgeous and its people pleasant. My first week here it has been warm and sunny, but now it's been wet outside. The transportation is pretty easy to get a hang of. More and more I am excited about living here. I feel like I might want to be here longer!
